  • Novograf: four decades of transforming commercial environments

Commercial spaces need to do more than look good. They must communicate a brand, help people find their way and withstand daily use. For Novograf, the challenge is to bring those requirements together while making design ideas practical to manufacture and install.

Established in 1986 and based in East Kilbride, the Scottish business celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2026, alongside ten years of employee ownership. Its team supports brands, architects, designers and contractors from design development and material specification through manufacture, project management, logistics and nationwide installation.

That capability is organised around three connected areas: Create, Refresh and Graphics. Together, they give customers a flexible route to new environments, targeted refurbishment and consistent brand presentation across an estate.

Create translates design intent into distinctive surfaces. Bespoke textures, engineered replicas, decorative panels and wall systems allow colour, pattern and material character to become part of the finished environment. The range includes eikonicâ„¢, an engineered wall panel system that recreates the visual and tactile qualities of tiles, offering an alternative to traditional tiling.

Refresh starts with the value already present in a space. Architectural films, asset wrapping and targeted surface refurbishment can renew counters, doors, furniture and joinery while retaining serviceable underlying assets. This approach can extend asset life, reduce unnecessary waste and help programmes fit around live operations.

Graphics brings identity, information and navigation into the environment. Novograf produces and installs internal and external signage, wayfinding, wall and window graphics, manifestations and branded hoardings, connecting the customer experience from the approach to a building through to its interior.

Its work spans retail, food service, hospitality, financial services, healthcare and other commercial settings. Projects for customers including Greggs, Boots Opticians and NatWest Group demonstrate the need to combine individual site requirements with consistent materials, finish and delivery across multiple locations.

By keeping design, production and installation connected, Novograf helps project teams resolve practical detail early and coordinate delivery around the wider programme. Whether developing a new surface, refreshing an existing interior or rolling out a signage package, the focus is on environments that remain useful, relevant and recognisable for longer.
